Like every man in his right mind, we’ve always wanted to leave something behind us, once God gathers us up.
This Ibănești telemea is made from a unique recipe, with roots going back hundreds of years — and its taste can stay with you for the rest of your life.
In March, our desire and our efforts were rewarded:
Telemeaua de Ibănești received the status of Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) product
recognized by the European Union.
That means we, two brothers from Ibănești, managed to convince the great commission in Brussels that our product deserves to be the first Romanian product with a PDO — a recognition that Telemeaua de Ibănești cannot be made anywhere else in the world.
Our heritage? This is our heritage!
And it’s not just the legacy left to our children. It is a legacy we leave to Ibănești, to the people of Ibănești, to the Gurghiu Valley and, why not, to Romania.
It is the little that we were able to do, the much that God gave us. It is the mark that we, the Todoran brothers, have carved on a milestone in the history of these lands.
