Ileana – Telemea de poveste

The story goes that somewhere in the Gurghiu Valley, just a stone’s throw from Ibănești, in times of peace, there lived a girl who was to steal Prince Charming’s heart. Ileana, as she was named, was known throughout the valley for her skill in working with milk and transforming it into various delicacies. In her honor, we now make “Telemeaua Ileana ” here in Ibănești. She is the Ileana Cosânzeana of our cheeses, a cheese as if from a fairy tale. Made according to a unique recipe from whole milk, Ileana is a delight for the palate and taste buds. Have a taste. It’s delicious, straight from the mountains.
