Nelia has its own unique story, distinct from the other cheeses of Ibănești. Mrs. Todoran Nelia, the mother of David and Mircea, is renowned throughout the Gurghiu Valley. She was a remarkable woman who knew how and where to guide her sons. She imparted to them the essence of life and ensured they received an education, instilling in them the values imparted by both home and school. More than that, she cultivated in them a passion for their craft, a reverence for tradition, and a receptiveness to innovation.

Thus, Nelia has emerged as the flagship product of the Ibănești factory, established by the Todoran brothers in honor of their mother. The Nelia specialty is crafted using an original process, incorporating matured cheese and butter of the highest quality.
