However, we let it sit in the bowl longer, making it harder and thus easier to cut. Give it a try in a sandwich or, better yet, layer a few slices on some boiled potatoes and bake the whole concoction in the oven for 4-5 minutes. It's reminiscent of potatoes au gratin, but with a Ibănești twist.</p>

<p>Others can't even stand the thought of sheep's cheese.</p>
<p>You know how it tastes? To each their own.</p>
<p>We know one thing for sure: we produce an honest cow's milk "telemea," salted in Orșova brine, just like the "Telemeaua de Ibănești DOP," and we offer it to you fresh or matured.</p>
<p>From there, you decide for yourself whether it's good or not.</p>
<p>Place 200 grams beneath a spoonful of "mămăligă," add a knob of butter and a sausage from the jar, and then bake the whole thing in the oven for about 5 minutes. What do you think? We believe it's worth a try.</p>

Butter emerged in the Middle East around 2,000 years ago, quite accidentally. During that time, milk was stored in leather barrels and suspended from beams in clusters of 2-3. Left to the elements, they would collide with one another until the people churning the milk stumbled upon a thick, strong-tasting slurry with a completely unique texture unlike anything they had encountered before. For centuries, butter was made by hand through the process of 'churning' cream in wooden pots. Our Ibănești butter, however, isn't churned in the traditional sense; we obtain it at 82% fat content. And that's where we leave it because butter is butter—either you smear your fingers with it as it drips off a warm piece of bread, or you abandon the notion of butter altogether and move on to something else.</p>
